Staff-to-Child Ratios

 

In Center-Based Care the staff-to-child ratios are

1:6 for 6 weeks to 24 months; 1:10 for 2 years; 1:12 for 3 years

If toddlers 18-24 months and children 24 to 35 months are grouped together, a 1:6 ratio must be maintained.

In Family Child Care the staff-to-child ratios are

1:6 (with no more than 2 children under the age of 2*)

*Homes may also be licensed for 7-12 children. Two caregivers must be present if there are more than 2 children under the age of 2 or when more than 6 children of any age are present.
