New Hampshire's Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Quality Infant/Toddler Earmark:

FY 2006: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark is $231,423.

FY 2004: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark was $242,647.

The funds are used in the following ways to enhance the New Hampshire infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities)*:

• Support of the Infant/Toddler Task Force , which advises the Child Development Bureau about the utilization of infant and toddler earmarked funds.
• Support to center directors and infant/toddler leads Wheelock College 's graduate seminar “Caring for Infants and Toddlers”.
• Equipment grants of $4,000 to eligible participants of the Wheelock seminar to support improvement of environments after the course.
• An Infant and Toddler Curriculum Day that inlcudes six hours of training on various curriculum topics geared to the birth to 3-year-old child and provides learning materials for infant and toddlers to each participant.
• Scholarships for Infant/Toddler Caregivers to enroll in infant/toddler courses at the Community Technical Colleges and Granite State College (formerly known as the College for Lifelong Learning).

*New Hampshire reported these uses of the earmark funds in both the FY 2004 and the FY 2006 plan.
