Nebraska's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Earmark:
FY 2006: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark is $582,404.
The funds are used in the following ways to enhance the Nebraska infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):
- First Connections, a training program for infant and toddler caregivers offered via the Internet, augmented with CD ROM, and supported with an Internet web site.
- Infant toddler care training (including use of ITERS) and media resources, with an emphasis on those that support understanding of language and literacy development in infants and toddlers.
- Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation pilot.
- Early Head Start/Child Care Initiative.
- To fund a higher reimbursement rate for infants.
- Early Childhood Mental Health Initiative.
FY 2004:
The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark was $577,401.
