Comparisons
This section contains
tables that highlight important characteristics about the school-age
population, as well as how Child Care and Development Funds (CCDF)
support afterschool care. All reports include data from the 50 states
and the District of Columbia, when available. Unless otherwise noted,
the term "school-age children" refers to children ages
5 to12.
School-Age Population
This report lists the total number of school-age children in each
state as well as the percentage of school-age children in each state's
total population.
Child
Care and Development Fund -- Federal, State and School-Age/Resource
and Referral Targeted Funds
This report lists the estimated combined total of federal and state
CCDF funds and the School-Age and Resource and Referral Targeted
funds allocated to each state in FFY05.
Percentage
of Children Receiving Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Subsidies
who are School-Age
This report lists the percentage of children receiving CCDF subsidies
who are school-age.
Settings
for School-Age Children Receiving Child Care and Development Fund
(CCDF) Subsidies
This report lists the percentage of school-age children receiving
CCDF subsidies who receive care in each of four different child
care settings: child care centers, group homes, family homes, and
in-home care.
Provider
Reimbursement Information for School-Age Care
This report lists the state-designated label for the reimbursement
rate category that includes School-Age Care. It also lists the maximum
provider reimbursement rate for school-age center-based care in
each state.
